Palm Cove is a beautiful coastal spot between Cairns and Port Douglas. Here you can find during the high season in the winter months relatively easy work in the hospitality industry. Find jobs on www.gumtree.com.au or even better: go directly to the resorts and ask them directly if they are looking for hard-working people.

Mareeba (Fruit Picking)

In Mareeba you can find farm jobs on bananas, avocados or vegetables farms. Especially during the Australian winter winter, when it is cold in the south of Australia and still hot in the north, this place is very popular among backpackers. The compeition can be quite high. Go to farms, ask for a job and show them that you are willing to work hard.

Atherton Tablelands

The Atherton Tablelands, with the main town of Atherton, are located near the Tinaroo Lakes and the 2 crater lakes, which are created by volcanoes. The lakes are very inviting, crocodile-free and good for short hikes. Tinaroo Lake is very popular with anglers. You do not need much more here.

Here, among other things, avocados are grown. If you are in the area and have your own car, drive up to farms and ask for jobs. Tell them you are willing to work hard.
